Dr Sanjay Bhambri pursued his undergraduate education at Kean University in Union, NJ. Having earned his bachelor's degree with highest honors (summa cum laude), he then matriculated at one of the top osteopathic medical schools in the country, University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey – School of Osteopathic Medicine (UMDNJ-SOM), where he continued to excel academically. Upon receiving his medical degree, he completed 2 years of internal medicine residency at UMDNJ-SOM before entering the field of dermatology.
Dr Bhambri completed a dermatology residency at Valley Hospital Medical Center in Las Vegas, Nevada where he served as a chief resident for two consecutive years. He then completed a one year American College of Mohs Surgery (ACMS) and Accreditation Council of Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) certified Mohs surgery and procedural dermatology fellowship at Arkansas Skin Cancer Center. During his fellowship he was involved in treating more than 3,000 skin cancers with Mohs Surgery.
Dr Bhambri is an expert in the prevention, detection, and treatment of skin cancer; as well as experienced in other disorders of the skin, hair, and nails.
Dr. Bhambri has authored over 25 articles and book chapters in scientific and medical journals. He has presented at various national conferences and was ranked highly among his peers. He currently serves on the editorial board of Journal of Clinical and Aesthetic Dermatology and is a contributor for Yearbook in Dermatology.
Dr. Bhambri is board certified in Dermatology.
Dr Bhambri is a fellow of American Osteopathic College of Dermatology and is a member of American Academy of Dermatology, American College of Mohs Surgery, American Society of Dermatologic Surgery, and American Osteopathic Association.
